My Story

I completed my undergrad at the University of Alberta in my hometown of Edmonton, majoring in Biological Sciences, and minoring in English. This naturally led to a passion for STEM (Science/Technology/Engineering/Math) research, education, and communication. For 3 years, I worked at the Telus World of Science Edmonton as a Science Presenter and Sleepover Presenter, developing and delivering hit programs that were widely enjoyed by audiences of all ages. During this time, I developed an interest in creating more interactive educational experiences through video games, so I acquired a Certificate in Computer Game Development from the U of A and taught game design and development in summer camps attended by more than 300 youths.

Craving a new challenge, I then became an Executive Assistant to the COO of an electronics manufacturing company in Taiwan. In the 3 years that I spent working abroad, I acquired a multitude of experience in business administration, sales and marketing, and managing my first R&D projects, all the while vastly improving my Chinese language skills to professional working fluency.

Wishing to return to Canadian soil, I then moved to Vancouver to pursue a Masters in Digital Media (MDM) at the Centre for Digital Media. There, I discovered a passion for project management, leading interdisciplinary teams in the creation of all kinds of digital media solutions.

After graduating with my Master’s, I worked as an Associate Producer/Agile Project Manager at Shocap Entertainment, producing live and virtual productions involving real-time motion capture. I also worked as a Project Manager at TTT Studios to design and develop innovative web and mobile applications in an agency environment.

I currently work as a Senior Producer at Departure Lounge where I manage various productions including volumetric capture projects and creative projects in which we build immersive worlds and experiences.
